well it is true - I can say that because up until six years ago I rode a cycle as part of my job with the ROYAL MAIL , You need a high carb . diet as fuel for the body around 4500 cals. a day - I was told by another postman that I WOULD END UP WITH LEGS LIKE OAK TREES- my round covered a distance over 5 miles plus the trip to the round. This year I had a heart operations, By being active and taking care of diet, Will improve all round well being Go for it ! .

Hmm, I think this topic is far too wide,

I had serious physical problems a few years back, major operations that went wrong.

Offered low impact exercise as an alternative to pounding the streets,?. so got on the bike. That was a mistake, a big one.

Fell off the bike the 2nd time out and broke a bone in my neck, a further one in my upper back, and fractured my skull in two places

Take care out there folks, this life is full of crap.

PS I obviously have recovered, but boy has it changed my perspective on life, live on bro:T:A
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Work in your fat burning zone and you'll burn fat, rush to work, race everyone and you'll exercise your heart (or maybe overexercise it depending on how hard you push) but won't do fat burning.

That's why I go for a brisk walk if I want to exercise. I can't cycle without wanting to go faster than I need to!:p
