Christmas shopping in Manchester

Hoping to go through to Manchester and stay in the most affordable accomodation we can. I have been looking in the obvious places- Travellodge, Premier Inn etc but there doesn't seem to be anything cheap over the dates we want (11th and 12th Dec). Just wondering if anyone knew of any offers that chains are running or any suggestions for where to stay?

Hi
I can recommend the Park Inn. It is near Victoria Train Station so is about 5 mins walk to the shops.
They also have a pool & spa so you can have a massage after all your shopping.0
