Grrrr Emprex 5.8ghz video sender - driving me round the bend

Options
I ordered this from Amazon as it is supposed to not receive interference.

I am trying to use it to receive SKY+ in the bedroom directly above the tv downstairs, however, at best I am getting 5-10 seconds of crystal clear excellent transmission then blue screen for a few secs and then back to the picture again.

the instructions may as well be written in chinese for all the help they are giving me.

Any ideas? I have wasted 4 hours!

Most wireless devices work around the 2.4ghz range I think which is why the Emprex says it does not get interference, operating as it does up at 5ghz. However, if you have another 5ghz wireless device it could be interfering.

Otherwise it sounds like the transmission is too slow and having to buffer every 10 seconds or so.

I'm afraid I have no first hand experience with this device though (although I had considered buying something similar to stream movies from my computer downstairs to the bedroom).
