Travelling from stevenage to paddington

Me and my wife are great worriers -we want to get to get to paddington for a 12.06 train -if we leave stevenage about 10ish and get the 205 from kings cross to paddington -does that give us enough time or should we book on the 1.06 train to give ourselves more time?
