I can't help with Disney passes but may be able to offer you the benefit of my recent experiences with car hire. Last year Nov we booked a compact with a free upgrade to intermediate with Dollar via USCarhire with the gold upgrade we paid £198. This year the best we could get for Nov was £269 for an intermediate with Thrifty via Netflights also with Gold upgrade. It seems that the price of car hire was fixed for the year when the £ was very low against the $ so prices may be slightly better next year if the £ doesn't take a dive again.
Once we booked flights I just keep a weekly check on prices until Netflights has an offer on Orlando car hire then I booked.0 -
the exchange rate might have something to do with it, but car hire rates in the US have gone up dramatically over the last year or so - you see people on US message boards complaining about it quite a lot. I read somewhere I think that part of the issue is business travel is down, so less business travellers renting cars, so some companies have sold off parts of their fleets, and increased prices overall. Business travellers will pay what they have to pay...so it's the leisure travellers that get a bit screwed in it all.
We've rented recently with carhire3000.com as recommended on the Vegas thread and have been happy with them and their rates.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
