What is my best option

I have not been employed or claimed benefits for the last 6 years
I have been renovating / selling in France (not claiming residency)

I am now back in England, bought and paid for a house

I don't want to claim benefits unless i'm on !!!!!! street, I dont have any savings now (paid for the house)

I am trying to earn money in a couple of ways but isnt deffinate (web wise and tourism trade)

Should I register self employed now, wait a while, register somewhere that i'm not working

I wouldnt mind help with the council tax (used to paying a couple of hundred euros) but understand I must be claiming benefits

Any ideas
