Eon rep promised me the best price?

Unsolicited eon rep visited my flat and said eon would beat my current gas and electricity bill by £175, even though I had just swapped two weeks prior to this and it is only 460ish a year!

Was it too good to be true?

Maybe!! But why would anybody want to go through a rep.when they can go through a cashback site and get the commission themselves?

Do NOT trust the reps - they will never cut you as good a deal as you can now get online with comparison sites (or even just the comapny's web site). I found savings of over 350 quid a year online compare to what a rep claimed was a "guaranteed" best deal.

To good to be true? Oh Yes!!

Why not use a couple of the comparison sites in the resource bar above to see?

As a matter on interest, on what basis did you decide to switch supplier a couple of weeks ago?

So presumably you switched to the cheapest supplier acceptable to you for your circumstances?

I doubt prices have changed much in the last 2 weeks, especially allowing you to now save almost 40%, but you could always check again using the comparison sites if you want.
