tips for 'selling' yourself at graduates exhibition?

Our son is about to graduate and has to put on a dispay at the graduates exhibition - it's a design course so it's all about visuals and style.
Because it's for potential employers to look at the students with a view to employing them there is a strong element of self promotion involved, can anyone give a few tips to make him and his design 'sell' well. We wondered about hand-outs etc amongst other things.

I don't know much about design, or employment in that area, I'm afraid. Clearly he's going to need a top-quality CV for interested employers to pick up - and no matter however good his design is he'll need a high-quality one (in terms of both content and design) to match.
I'm sure others can help more than I - but maybe a bit of Googling might help? There must be advice for design graduates out there somewhere.0 -
My degree show starts next week and I have had business cards made with all my details on one side and one of my illustrations on the other. The same illustration will be blown up to cover half of my space, so the plan is that people will remember it.0

If he's going to be there in person, then what he wears is pretty important. (Obviously.)
He needs to think whether he wants to be classic but different, or just different ...
I don't know what that would look like for the male of the species, but when I was in my last round of job interviews, I gave up the black jacket because EVERYONE wore one. Had a nice bright pink one ... which got me remembered, and for the right reasons!Signature removed for peace of mind0
