New Car on PCP - Any good deals/offers?
I am about to trade in my Fiesta, which is on PCP, and get something new. I have had a look at the new Fiesta and they are too expensive to get a good deal on.
I have considered the KA, Mazda 2, Suzuki Swift so far.
I will have about £800 equity in my current car as a deposit and dont want to pay more than I currently do - £155. I think this puts my budget at around 9k dependant on the finance deal.
I dont need a big or fast car, just something cheap to run, comfortable and reliable. Something than will have a bit of equity in it after a couple of years too.
Anyone know of any good deals?

toyota aygo, although about 12 weeks wait...or the peugeot 107 / citroen c1 equivilent £35 road tax and good MPG but might be too small. Or Yaris? Kia Ceed - 7yr warrenty ? Peter Vardy in Scotland are doing a 3 door basic Corsa for £6k....I think Evans Halshaw are doing similar but £6491 in blue only. Hope that helps.0

£155 a month is not a great deal to be putting into a car valued at around the £9K to £10K new so you will struggle to have more equity next time around.
If you must buy new the Skoda Fabia and Mazda 2 are the best at retaining their value in this size and price of car. The Mazda 2 running costs are slightly lower. Buy Fabia for comfort and Mazda 2 for fun. The Mazda is the one most similar to your Fiesta.
You can lease a Skoda Fabia 1.2 70bhp for a little less than £155 a month including VAT and road tax on a 36 month lease. Another option to consider. Mazda 2 about £155 a month for the same.0 -
Scrappage is making the cheaper end of the market a bit tricky for good deals.0

thanks all. i am quite interested in the Mazda, although havent seen or driven one yet. I have a quote for a TS2 3 door, for just over £9,000. Not sure on the finance deals though yet.
I realise the scrappage isnt helping the deals at the moment!
Never really thought about a nearly new car or maybe ex-demo. Do dealers still do the manufacturer PCP deals on those? If so, what would be good to look at if I were considering that? Although, one of the reasons I like to by new is the full warranty and peace of mind, so I would want something 'very nearly new'.0
