Rewiring costs

My mum is wanting her house rewiring and was trying to work out a rough estimate of price, it is a very small house down stairs is front door straight into lounge from lounge it goes into kitchen, from lounge stairs to upstairs 2 bedrooms and bathroom.
Her wiring at the moment is really bad and it needs doing as soon as possible, I dont know if that is enough information for a rough estimate on price but any help appreciated

I had mine done for a small 2 beds, quoted 2740k but in the end it came out at 3k. This is in Greater London.0

As a ballaprk the starting cost would be £1700 for a small flat, rising to £1900-£2400 for a standard house.
More info required;
How many levels (any bits split level)?
What type of floor upstairs and downstairs wood concrete etc?
Will the house be occupied during the rewire?
Are the walls brick, plasterboard or lath?
Will there be tea and coffee and biccies during the works ?
All these things (and others) vary the pricebaldly going on...0 -
Hi thank you for your reply
its all one level on 2 floors (hope that makes sense on each floor all one level)
concrete floor downstairs im not sure upstairs
the house would be occupied
walls are brick
lots and lots of biccies and tea and coffee:rotfl:
she mentioned it was illegal now something to do with circuit breakers0 -
Have a read of this too, it helps explain the factors which can affect the cost and some typical costs.
