Have I been over/under-paying my gas bill?
Options
My gas meter says it measures in cubic feet (ft3), but my gas bill says it was measured in cubic metres (m3). Have I been over-paying or under-paying my gas bill? Also, could it be that even though it states on my bill that it was measured in cubic metres, it may have been converted from cubic feet to cubic metres before the bill was printed and sent out?

Quick check as to how your bill has been calculated
Divide the number of meter units used, into the number of Kw you have been charged for -
If the answer is roughly 11, it has been charged on a Metric m3 meter formula.
If the answer is roughly 31, it has been charged on an Imperial ft3 formula0 -
If you multiply the metered units by 11 and its roughly the kWh, then they have caculated consumption based on m3 (metric basis).
If you multiply the metered units by 33 and its roughly the kWh, then they have caculated consumption based on an imperial basis."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
