How to take shares out of a nominee account..

Hi all,

I have a nominee account with several thousand shares in it, I want to close this account and transfer the shares in certificate form...... How do I do this??? The reason I want to do this is because I am being charged 8 pound per quarter for this account.

Thanks in advance

Tell the broker that you want the shares in certificated form. They will charge for this, IME, anything between £10 and £50 per holding. If you just want to transfer to another broker you don't need certificates, the transfer can be done electronically.
