Hi miemie :hello: - and thanks for the kind words.
I look forward to seeing more of you!
Thanks Lemontree, we too had a 25yr 100% mortgage when we first started out, but gradually knocked years off every time we remortgaged.
Today when I rang up, the advisor talked about base rate tracker @ 2.99% which makes about 3.5% currently.
Even the SVR @ 4% is more attractive than the fix we've got, but that is the gamble isn't it?
If we had a few £100's a month spare, then yes, but as we don't then fix it is....0 -
Hey hun, looks like you've made a great start and have a lot of motivation and ideas so I will be reading with interest, you go girl, (and yes you still count as a girl!!)

Aww thanks Missymoo - you've made my day! :T
Strangely, I do feel uber-motivated, since I started the diary. It's our Wedding Anniversary this weekend and DH asked if I wanted to go out, but instead I said "Let's stay in and get a take-away".
I've changed....:j:D0 -
lol glad I could make your day, and I've found since I started my diary, that I love staying in, we always have yummy things to eat and snuggle up on the sofa and watch a film and have a few drinks, much more cosy and relaxing than going out.0

Good Morning to anyone reading!
No free bingo winnings this morning sadly, better luck tomorrow but £15 landed in my account this morning. Plus, I did get 45p from the scratches so not all bad.
Yesterday we went to a Hallowe'en Party out in the sticks and OH (a definite City Boy) decided he'd like abit of the Country Life. So that's focussed his mind a bit and he's now more onside with the debt-busting. :j
I have an NSD planned for today and am going to get my Ebay stuff loaded in preparation for the £10 a Day Challenge. I'm raring to go!!:D
Have a Spooky Saturday - Wooooooo!!0 -
I am going to be a scary witch today..........no change there, then :cool:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Right, half way through the ironing of Mount Etna
Then I'm going outside to clean the windows (downstairs only). OH in his wisdom, decided to sack the window cleaner and do it himself. (He was pretty useless in fairness).
Of course, DH has done it once in 6 months
Then after DD's swimming lesson, we're going window-shopping to Ikea.:money:
At the moment we have 2 kids in one small bedroom and a large bedroom currently used as OH's office. As he now has an office outside the home, we're going to switch the rooms over.
This will give us much needed storage space for the kids, but we've been talking about it for months now but still done nothing. That is about to change today.
I plan to wind the kids up, looking at new furniture (though hope to buy on Ebay).
Then when they've been whipped into a frenzy, they'll keep pecking at us (well him) until the deed is done - hopefully before Christmas. :j
I'm not coming back on here until I've done something, as fear I am procrastinating again.....0
