hi again all i wrote asking for help with a dead end claim against G E Money iv'e since looked at all paper work i have in nov 2004 to start it was Purple loans the broker was Midland &General Ltd the cheque came from First National Home Finance later to be passed to G E Money the Insurers are Cardiff Pinacle I wrote to g e money to claim they're saying we signed the agreement and the 5yr term was also specified by cardiff pinacle and 3rd ly they have no connection with GE CAPITAL BANK as they are seperate companies lastly their internal complaints are now exhausted this is a final response due to historical nature ? it will not fall under the FOS but can take it to the FLA I'm con fused have i complained to the right people and is there a template letter to FLA i can use and could i request G E Money rearrange the loan because it expires 10th nov 2009 and means we still have to pay the interest for the remainder of loan time I read that jimthediver has had dealings with g e money and wondered how he'd got on i need some generous person to guide me all the way on this as i'm not confident at all and have considered a claims company to do it for me but would like all the money for oneself i did do the bank claim and got my money but i think this is over my head to cope with PLEASE PLEASE HELP this is 2nd post on this matter don't think i explained enough last time so here's hoping margy

hi pinknico i have complained to g e money and saying it was mis sold due to us having to pay interest on the ppi over the rest of the loan time (although ppi only ran for 5yrs just about to expire nov 10th 09) was not told this over the phone was not told it was optional purple loans/midland general ltd/or first national finance not sure who i was talking to at time so as you see its quite a mess they say i could refer it to their escalations team( g e money )at same address for further reveiw but must be done within eight weeks 19th oct if not complaint will be closed i cant understand cos they say in their letter dated 28th may( but i never received until 19th oct letter arrived)our internal complaints is now exhausted and due to historical nature it will not come under FOS they seem to be contradicting themselves so this is where im truly boggled on what to do or who to complain to if i have complained to wrong co is their any help to get me through this long tunnel or should i refer it to a loan claimer on my behalf any help or advice would be most gratefully received thanx margymuggins0

Hi there.
I'm sure Pinknico will be here at some point.
Check this link below in regards of GE money this will tell you if they were covered and from what year etc.
However I believe there are a few GE money business, so it may be worth if you have any documents to check the firm reference number.
http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmSearchForm.do
If they were covered then I would contact the FOS if you have not done so yet.
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html
Or call the FOS anyway, where they may be able to help you on your behalf.
The FLA unfortunately not everyone are successful, hope it will be different for you, but many of times we have been informed to contact the FLA and so far they have not been a help at all, so do call the FOS and see what they have to say.
Some have had their cases resubmitted to the FOS - where they were previously returned, cos some companies were not governed/covered etc, but many are again having their cases being looked at again, it may be worth you ringing them to check on this first.
So was it actually GE Money that sold you the finance? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanx Di GE Money are now the co.but originally it was First National Finance done by Midland & G eneral Ltd broker whom i assume was acting for Purple Loans in Oct 04 I do have all original paper work concerning this loan but some of it i dont understand .Do you have the tele No of the FOS please and thanx i will now try these sites you have mentioned fingers crossed margymuggins x0
