Gas meter

On my pre payment Gas meter with British Gas it has just been updated with the debt I owe.
However as well as the debt. There is a screen that says NGD remaining £27.00
anybody know what this is?
I have agredd 5.00 per week to pay off debt. Yet yesterday i put in 12.00. 6.00 went for gas and 6.00 went to debt.
Phoned British Gas but was pointless as I just got even more confused.

NGD means Non Gas Debt. i.e. not for gas consumed, but perhaps for lost PPM cards, legal costs, etc

British Gas had no idea. As I say its a new meter.0
