Poor credit rating credit cards

:j HI EVERYONE, MY NAMES ANDY. FOR THE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ARE WORRIED ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO GET A CREDIT CARD, PLEASE READ ON. I HAD A VERY BAD CREDIT RATING FOR SOME YEARS AND AT 44 YEARS OF AGE I THOUGHT IT MAY BE A GOOD TIME TO START TO CLEAR UP MY CREDIT FILES. IT TOOK A WHILE TO DO THIS THE THREE MAIN ONES ARE EXPERIAN, EQUIFAX, AND CALL CREDIT. BUT AFTER A WHILE I DECIDED TO APLY FOR THE VANQUIS VISA. THE APR IS 39.9% TO START BUT IT DOES COME DOWN AS YOU USE THE CARD CORRECTLY AND MAKING SURE YOU PAY IT OFF EACH MONTH. MY START LIMIT WAS JUST £500 RISING QUICKLY TO £1000 AFTER I HAD MADE FOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS IN FULL ON TIME. AS I HAVE USED THE CARD IN THE CORRECT WAY I HAVE NOW BEEN UPGRADED TO A GOLD CARD AND MY LIMIT STARTS AT £1500. I SINCE BEEN ACCEPTED FOR A CAPITAL ONE CARD AND THE AQUA CREDIT CARD. CAPITAL ONE GAVE ME A £100.00 START LIMIT AND AQUA £1000 SO ON THE THREE CARDS I HAVE A TOTAL LIMIT OF £2600 ALL AT DIFFERENT APR THAT COME DOWN AS YOU USE THEM. TAKE MY ADVISE PAY THEM OFF AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR CREDIT RATING GET BETTER AND BETTER.

LOL@ use Vanquis Visa correctly and the APR will come down...

My OH held one for two years. Original APR was 39.9%. Then in February when he was given a £1,500 limit and Gold card it rose to 59.9%

Then in July when he was given a £2,000 limit it rose to 69.9%

Opted out now and demanded an interest rebate in light of them not issuing a opt-out letter, APR has been reverted to 59.9% and overcharged interest has been refunded, sooner it's clear the better.

Vanquis are by far the WORST sub prime credit card to hold, I'll be getting rid of mine just as soon as I get a Cap1 Classic ;) Or just leave it open with a £0 balance and see how long it takes for them to close it.
