looking for a bit of help i am trying to claim back ppi from 2001 as i have been unemployed since 1979 1st letter from them refused to refund then after i telephoned them they said they did not realise it was through unemployment i was claiming now 2nd letter stating that they do not agree it was mis sold and are not refunding at all and that i was sent a insurance document with 1st letter blatent lie they r saying it would cover me for sickness but how can it if i dont recieve any sick pay or wages threatened them with fos n they said that is up to me what can i do know as they r saying they will not discuss it any more thanks

As this was sold to you in 2001 i don't think that Littlewoods were regulated then. I know of some in this position with various firms like littlewoods who have taken their complaints to FOS against the actual insurer. I would ring FOS and tell them Littlewoods have given their final response and that you would like help in who else you can complain to and if they would accept the complaint against the insurer. I don't know whether you would have to actually complain to the insurer though but FOS should advise on this.
