My parcel is where?

I ordered £80 of lego from amazon uk, they dispatched it on 18-19th Oct, it was meant to reach me by yesterday (29th Oct)
The tracking from HDNL said it was out for delivery for all of last week and returned to the depot, daily. On Friday I emailed amazon to chase this up, gave them my mobile number and reminded them that putting my postcode on google will point to EXACTLY my house (lucky me)
The parcel tracking said delivered yesterday, but it wasn't. At least not to my house.
I contacted Amazon, they got HDNL to call me. It turns out they left it in front of the door at flat 2. Of somewhere. I don't live in a flat. Nor are there flats on my road..?
No signature on delivery, so they would ask the driver to retrace their steps.
I had a call back from HDNL saying the driver went round and a lady took in the parcel and said she dropped it off to me personally that evening - though she hasn't. At least not to me, or my neighbor. So what happens from here?

You keep getting them to deliver it. If the driver has left it on someones doorstep and they've given it to someone else, that's not your problem.
If the delivery company have flat out lost it, then that's not your problem either, your contract is with Amazon, and their contract is with the delivery company, so it's up to Amazon to sort it out.0 -
As far as I know, they have an obligation to deliver to you. So phone them back, and tell them you don't have the parcel, neither do your neighbours. See what they suggest. If they don't have a suitable solution, contact Amazon, as its there responsiblity to get it to you.
Sounds like a nightmare, though!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Get back on the phone to HDNL and tell them you do NOT have the parcel, and ask them to show you EXACTLY which lady they left it with.
I would also phone Amazon and let them know you haven't received it.
Are there any flats nearby where you live??Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I agree contact Amazon is up to them to deal with HDNL0

You are lucky, I have to go searching in about a 1 mile radius to search fotr my parcels sometimes....... Sat Nav takes them to a house half a mile away.....:(. Takes ages to train them and then they change the driver0
