For those like me who hate the start menu that comes with windows 7, this little programs seems to put things back to something more sensible

Looks like a step backwards in usability to me.0

Not for me - the new one is a pain - when you have loads of programs, I do not want to be scrolling up and down and clicking to open folders trying to find programs which I know are there.
Just standard float and view.
If you have Linux - you have option to do either type of environments with gnome and kde, those are more sophisticated that microsoft (who are trying to catch up I say)0 -
Personally, I find using the Search Bar at the bottom of the Start Menu a much more efficient way than navigating through the folder structure to the point that I don't even bother using anything else anymore.0

Why don't you just pin the programmes you use regularly to the task bar? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

If it's anything like the Vista start menu just sue the search box as anewhope suggested. |So much quicker than the old method. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

Me neither - that sounds great, thanks. If you have Linux - you have option to do either type of environments with gnome and kde, those are more sophisticated that microsoft (who are trying to catch up I say)
I prefer XFCE personally, but in any case I can't believe that Microsoft haven't implemented multiple desktops like you get in most Linux environments.
Still, apart from random applications intermittently losing network connectivity, and the fact that I had to resort to the command line to get certain applications to connect to the net, and the fact that Windows Explorer went through a brief stage of crashing continually... I'm actually quite impressed with Windows 7.0 -
I thought I should share this with people

Its a way to get a classic start menu in Windows 7 with using any additional piece of software (as I had originally suggested).
Alas I am back on Vista, got no license for Windass  will have to wait for next pc change  - saying that I quite like Wasta now seeing as whats been done in W7.0 -
The folder organisation with that looks absolutely chaotic0

I use Vista Start Menu, despite it's name it works with XP, Vista and Windows 7 - www.vistastartmenu.com0
