Improving reception on car radio

Can anyone advise any good ways to improve reception? My small motorhome has an aerial that is embedded into one of the rear windows though backs onto a cupboard - if that makes any difference. Apparently I cant have a roof mounted one as the roof needs to rise. I'm a bit fed up with Radio 2 which is all I can seem to get with any reliability.

Are there any boosters or similar that would help? The supplier vaguely said it's easy to get one at Halfords or similar, something like a TV reception booster at home, but I can't find anything and I've met his vague reassurances before, he recommends Halfords for everything he can't be bothered with!

Thanks

DS

There are a few on eBay but if the reception is poor it may not help. The rear window, which I assume is vertical, is a pretty poor place to have an antenna. A new proper aerial would be a better solution.
