Quick Question about postage to Australia

I am currently selling a magazine with CD on ebay. I recieved an email aksing if I would post to Australia. I looked up airmile prices and it says for a letter it would be £8.48 but for a small packet it would be £4.00.
Would a magazine be termed as a small packet or could I send it at the printed papers rate of £4.11?
Thanks

magazines should be able to go printed paper rate. I used to sell a lot of specialist mags and they were often as cheap to send abroad using pp rate as they were to send in England first class.

we regularly send to Australia and there does not seem to be a great difference between letter rate and small packet rates, except in price. I'm not sure that that a magazine with CD would strictly qualify as printed papers, but in any case small packet is either the same price or slightly cheaper thamn printed papers according to the weight. I would not have thought that you would need to pay for any extra services unless you think it will end up over 32 pounds. I find that post to Australia is incredibly quick often getting there in 2 or 3 days.0
