in Credit cards
hi, sorry if this question has been raised before but ....
Im currently unemployed untill january 2010 when im starting as a police officer, and was thinking about getting an egg card to clear my £1500 overdraft and give me some spending money over christmas.
I was just wondering wether egg would offer me a card and if so is the credit limit likely to be £500???
Any help is much appreciated thanks.

If currently unemployed you've very unlikely to get an Egg card, as these are one of the stricter lenders.0

Indeed, if you are unemployed it is likely you would need to go sub prime, i.e. Capital One, Aqua, or Vanquis.
But if you are already £1,500 overdrawn you should not be looking at getting further credit to cover you for Christmas. It would be much better to reconcile yourself to the fact it'll be a thrifty Chrimbo this year; imho
