Have you read the book Snaggles? It's very emotional, so be careful that you don't let things get to you and give him a chance to 'comfort' you and take advantage. Books don't often make me cry, but the end of that had me bawling my eyes out.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Yes, I read it at school...will have to try to be tough!

I would be highly delighted if he tried to take advantage whilst comforting me... :rotfl:

    There really isn't. :o

I am trying not to hope he will wake up and see what's right under his nose (because we only fancy each other, like each other, have endless conversations that make us both think and laugh in equal measure, have similar values and upbringings, and have similar outlooks on life....so it's not like we would be great together or anything...), because I know how unlikely it is to happen.

And I'm trying to move on and see other people, except that they all turn out to be dull, strange, or just can't kiss. :rotfl:

He told me the reason he treated me badly was that he doesn't like himself, and finds it difficult to accept that someone else could be fond of him, so it was easier to push me away than to deal with his issues. But when I asked how that ties in with him still being on a dating site looking for a relationship, he couldn't give me a clear answer.

    I like him so much....sighhhhhhh......

Snaggs....he definitely has issues that he needs to address before he can be in an equal relationship. Would he consider counselling, or is he a 'typical' man?
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

He's had counselling, and is apparently much better than he was, but he still has a lot of issues.

I am trying to be his friend, because I think he needs a close friend more than he needs a relationship at the moment, but it's so hard when my feelings are more than just friendship.
