Anyone know anything about apprenticeships? I have found a council job I want to apply for but do you think they will not consider me due to my age? Do you think they would rather have a school leaver? Also do I have to declare a qualification totally irrelevent to the application even though I took it at college for 2 years full time? On the apprenticeship website it states ~ 'Apprenticeships are open to all age groups above 16years-old whether you are just leaving school, have been working for years or are seeking to start a new career.' But it doesnt say if you can apply even though you have had further education. Also on the job description/brief/person it doesnt state either way. I dont want to apply just to be wasting my time

    Thanks for any advice :D

Why dont you ring them and find out Pap - sell it as you really want it but dont want to deprive others if they are looking for people without any formal education :D

    Morning all by the way!

Morning all! Am having my daily bowl of porridge, and have made a nice decision. I'm going to start driving lessons next month (Pint still owes me 4) and I'm going to try and be driving by May (so 6 months to do lessons, theory and test) and then save about £1-1.5k to pay for my car and insure it!

    Morning all :D

Pap, I agree with Becky, give em a ring. If you dont want to do that, just apply. What's the worst that can happen ;)

Another day in for the Spuds. DS has an icky tummy, so stay in, keep warm and get well is the order of the day ........oh and catch up with the washing
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
