    Good morning

This week I plan to make

Mon Home made pasties, brussels and gravy
    Tues Gammon and egg
Wed Sausage mash, brussels and gravy
    Thurs Beef curry and rice
    Fri Fish and mushy peas
    Sat Away for the day
Sun Chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots, swede, peas and gravy.

Breakfast will be cereal or toast or yoghurt and fruit
Lunch will be sandwiches and leftovers

Tues, Thurs and Fri have to be simple because I work on those days and whoever gets home first starts the cooking

Have a good (and organised) week everyone

Sorry, a bit late this week:

    Mon Pizza & Salad
    Tue Pork & Bean Tacos
    Wed Stew, Mash & Veg
Thu Roast Chicken, Mash & Veg
Fri Chicken in Tomato & Basil Sauce with Pasta
Sat Salmon Fillets, Potatoes & Veg
    Sun Pork Chops/Something with pork

I need some inspiration for easy to cook, quick, healthy meals. Struggling to prioritise cooking with a new baby in the house, so trying to do quick easy food that I can start when DH gets home from work. I have actually never made stew before but going to try it in the pressure cooker so fingers crossed it's quick and easy (and tasty!).

Might need to start borrowing ideas from the rest of your meal plans for next week. Everything looks interesting and tasty compared to mine!! xx

Another short week for me as I’m away at the weekend again! It’s getting very frustrating in meal planning as I’m struggling to get through fresh veg I buy.

Anyway, this week breakfast’s are all cereal/porridge and lunches all veg HM soup and seed rolls.

S – aubergine stew with cheesy mash
    M – bubble & squeak with salad
T – Stuffed pepper with salad
    W - out
T – quiche with HM spicy potato wedges, garlic bread and salad.

Snacks will be whatever I get round to baking!

    Have a good week everyone

  • :jAh, great thread - just what I was looking for. Did my first ever meal plan before shopping today. Planned around 31.00 and spent around 33.00 so quite pleased. Have to be flexible - our TINY Co-op runs out of things very easily. But I'm drooling and have some great ideas for next week.

Tues: Chicken stir fry with noodles
Wed: Prawns in white sauce with crepes
Thurs: Beef/sausage stew in freezer from last week with mash
    Frid: Spaghetti marinara
    Sat: Sausage, beans and mash
Sun: Egg fried rice with prawns
Mon: Store cupboard scrabble to see what's left!
    New CC starting balances for 2014: BC: £2780.00 (2717.45) MBNA: £2185.72 (2160.72)
    Repayment a/c: £112.50

Finally, things are clear. DH is back tomorrow and says he craves 'real food'. The friend who might come over has 'flu so isn't coming. I have been eating leftovers from Saturday's dinner party which are now finished. So I think for rest of week we'll have:

Wednesday - meat loaf with boiled eggs inside, red cabbage, mashed potato
    Thursday - paella, salad
Friday - roast chicken, roast spuds, chard a la creme
Saturday - hopefully out for dinner to celebrate, if not: rubber chicken fricassee and rice
Sunday - I fancy those sausages in sweet chili sauce recently posted. With mixed roast vegetables and couscous.

great, now I'm on track again!
