Hi everyone,

Please don't think I'm obsessed by doing these religiously every week - they really help to keep me motivated:-

Here is a link to last week's thread:-

My goals for LAST week:-

*Have an extremely productive Sunday
- clean house
- spend time in the garden doing some weeding
- prepare for job interview
- do as much as possible for eBay wedding favour orders
- pack up sold eBay stuff from finished auctions
- I had a productive Sunday last week - maybe didn't get everything done 100%, but gave it all a good stab
*4 no spend days - NO! I think I had one, max. Seriously am going to sort this out this week
*Sort out library fines - Phoned up to renew books, am going to pay the fines tomorrow (£9.60  )
*Download podcasts - Yes, so my BORING commute to work can be slightly more interesting
*Start designing barbecue housewarming party invite with OH - Yes, I drew my design last night and have to scan it in and finish all the info today, then turn into a pdf tomorrow and distribute!
*Be well prepared for job interview and do cool presentation - I was getting prepared, but then decided not to go - a long story.
*get everything out and organised for car boot sale next weekend - phone organiser in village to check out time to turn up etc. - Yes, only £21 made as rubbish car boot sale, but had fun and doing another one next weekend.
*continue with opening of Smile account - check on progress - Yes, I've been accepted and have all proof of id/address in an envelope ready to be sent off to continue the process.

My goals for THIS week:-

*Have an extremely productive Sunday
- go to farm shop (now! Go and get dressed!)
- tidy and clean house
- go to watch OH play acoustic session at Borders books
- go to Asda (keep eye out for cheap clothes - in budget)
- spend time in the garden doing some weeding
- finish 'filler' in eBay order and leave to dry
- pack up more sold eBay stuff from finished auctions
- finish design of invite and include info inc. map
*5 no spend days (not including food from joint account or any bills - just personal 'me' spends - no choccie/magazines/pointless cr*p!)
*Distribute barbecue invite via email (wanna come?:rotfl: )
*Go to library and pay fines
*Post this big eBay order - I'm nearly finished it! And have a couple of days rest. Start next order, next week.
*List 5 things onto turbolister - try and wait for a cheap listings day
*Clean and tidy house for Friday night when folks arrive

That's all folks! Good luck everyone

I was looking forward to this thread all week!!:j

    1. Figure out how to and reduce food spend
Joined the benefits challenge on this board for June so that should help me a bit. Still have a good deal of stuff in store cupboard, so may not have to worry about basics spend for a bit.

    2. 4 no spend days
Done it!!:D Berating myself wildly for a silly spend day yesterday though, so all the hard work was quashed in a single day!

    3. Transfer monies from high interest credit card to 0% ones
not done yet, got a 0% card with my new a&l account, but it charges a 2.25% transfer fee.

    4. Close or change paid off credit card account.
card paid off (monies finally cleared). Calling them today to close cap one card!! :j hooray:j

    5. Talk to OH about possibility of opening a joint account.
Done and unsuccessful. But did open separate bills account and he will now put his money there.

all in all a good week:T

    so for next week

1: Transfer money and house ddebits to new account.
2: Find the local butchers (running low on meat)
3: List items on ebay (waiting for low price listing day)
4: Get fees sorted for Saturday's work
5: 5 no spend days (have to make up for stupid spending saturday gone:mad: )

    let's see how it goes

    Hi all
    Just filled in last weeks & thought I'd start again as great to have weekly goals! Here's mine for the week;
    1) Get all ebay stuff sent off & list 5 more items
    2) Do take a break homework
    3) Sort kitchen out...somewhere in there are my blender blades & I need them back!
    4) Chill a bit...have been feeling really shattered this week & realise that I need to chill out a bit & relax...not spending money just having mental time out as mind has been racing for 2 months & I feel pooped!
    5) Go swimming or do some form of excercise at least one - have been sat on my big bum for too long!

    Didn't do so well last week so will try again! Last weeks were;

    1) place first ever big listing on ebay (couldn't find the cd or instruction book that went with it so sent off for a new one, will list today!)
    2) make website live tonight (hubby worked away all week so hoping to do this week)
    3) Spend no more then £10 on groceries as have plenty in (YEAHHHHHHH!)
    4) Swim three times this week (children off school poorly so couldn't escape)

    Ok so that wasn't good so this weeks are;
    1) Put dana on ebay
    2) Work towards website going live
    3) Half term so do lots of fun things on a budget with children)
    4) Keep a spending diary and pay at least £250 off credit card in June
    5) Do meal plans for the month to reduce food shop spend.

Hopefully i'll acheive more this week.

    Hi!

this was recommended to me last week when I was having a bit of a crisis so I'll give myself some - hopefully it'll kep my motivation up! Not all DFW, but will help in general feeling of control, which in turn helps me not to spend to boost mood (silly I know).

    1. Stick to a grocery list, cook at home all week. (not takeaways etc).
    2. List phone on Ebay.
    2. Search flat for things to sell - clean and evaluate! Have I enough for a car boot?
    3. File papers that threaten to overpower me from my trays next to the computer
    4. Exercise at least twice using DVDs (that I bought when couldn't afford to - pah!). Stick to diet - I'm paying to do to SW, must lose weight to make it cost effective!!
5.Sit down with OH and fully go through budget. Most difficult one!

Thanks ScottishSpendaholic for starting the thread. Good luck for this week!

    My goals last week were:

    1. Get firmly back ON TRACK by beginning to keep spend diary again and posting on the daily spend thread again. I definitely started spend diary again. I can't remember if I posted every day, I think I did but can't swear to it.
Have at least two no spend days. No, only had one.
Do some work/planning on finances using my spread sheet. Yes, spent one evening glued to it!!

    This weeks goals are:

    1. Try for at least 2 no spend days.
    2. Bank some spare change - even if it is only a quid or so, better to use the HSBC change machine & put it back in the bank than have it frittered away if it is in my purse.
    3. When I go to get the remainder of fresh veggies needed for the latter part of the week....leave the supermarket with ONLY THE FRESH VEGGIES NEEDED FOR THE LATTER PART OF THE WEEK!
    4. Get out at walk a bit more at lunchtimes - weather permitting. (I hope this foul weather is on it's way out....today is lovely...want more like this!)
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
    Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
