Goals for w/b 21st May 2006?

Options
Hi everyone,

I know I'm quite early posting this, this week - but I need to get motivated again! I also need to try and avoid coming on here tomorrow so I can get lots of jobs done - I've had such a wasted day today!

Here is a link to last week's thread:-

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=197492

My goals for LAST week:-

*5 no spend days - I've no cash so hopefully this is possible! - Very mad with myself as I seemed to find cash every day - spending money I'm not supposed to like joint account food money or eBay profits, not a lot of money but it still counts - I am really mad with myself.
*Go to library and pay fines  - No, and no excuse for not doing this
*Find another magazine money making thing - i.e. send in a 'top tip' to Prima etc. - Yes! And the one I sent into Take a Break magazine (Boot Sale Tales - pic and story about a bargain Boot Sale find) is being published in June and £50 will be on its way to me in August! Yay!
*Phone to check Mint card is really CLOSED - Yes!:T
*Start, complete and send big eBay order - NO, NO NO! This is getting v. serious - must do tomorrow - have procrastinated for AGES
*List 5 items on eBay tomorrow for 5p listing - I've been so chuffed with myself about this one - I have actually listed 17 new items and relisted 5 - 13 of the new items were on the 5p listing day - YAY to me!
*Download some podcasts as they sound quite cool and will give me something to listen to on the way to work - I've not done this either - grrrr
*Water garden or at least window boxes daily (if no rain) - Not once - had lots of rain - but probably should have been out there a couple of times - TOMORROW!

My goals for THIS week:-

*Have an extremely productive Sunday
- clean house
- spend time in the garden doing some weeding
- prepare for job interview
- do as much as possible for eBay wedding favour orders
- pack up sold eBay stuff from finished auctions
*4 no spend days
*Sort out library fines
*Download podcasts
*Start designing barbecue housewarming party invite with OH
*Be well prepared for job interview and do cool presentation
*get everything out and organised for car boot sale next weekend - phone organiser in village to check out time to turn up etc.
*continue with opening of Smile account - check on progress

Good luck everyone!

Oops..looks like I didn't set myself any goals last week! Hey-ho!

    But I managed to:

    1) Not use the tumble dryer
    2) Get my bedding/basket plants and planted some last night
    3) Have 5 No Spend Days!!! (And not over-spend yesterday to compensate!)
    4) Stay non-smoking (7 weeks now! :j )
    5) Made cheese biscuits for DS packed lunch, instead of buying rubbish!
    6) Throw an extra £21 at cc due to coming in under budget for May :T

Hey SS - I know what you mean about spending time on here, instead of chores! Think I need a "time lock" on the PC so I'm forced to go and do things instead of "popping" back and turning 5 mins to an hour! :rotfl:

Good luck everyone and have a great week!

thanks for starting this SS - I didnt set any goals last week and kind of fell off the wagon ( lets just say it has been a time of the month, Im sick of men messing me around, I cant cope and my life sucks kind of week ) anyway its a new week and a new start so here goes.

    Goals for WC 21/05/06

    1. Do Aprils expense claim
    2. Sort out bank accounts when I can get back into them ( managed to block myself out )
    3. Sort out veggie patch - got the wood and plants just need to get it built
    4. Grocery shopping on Monday - look at OS recipies and make up a new menu as Im getting a bit bored with repetition or current meals
    5. Start bank charge claim for expense account ( I never get my expenses in on time so have gone over the overdraft a couple of times - see point 1 :p )
    6. Stop spending on rubbish on daily basis
    7. List 10 more books on green metropolis and amazon

think that will do for now - all the best with your goals this week

    2. Clean out airing cupboard
    3. Send LBA to Bank of Scotland for refund of charges
    4. Give house a good clean - top to bottom

2)Start looking around for new stuff to put on ebay
3)Write up minutes for church council

That'll do, don't want to aim for too much this week as it's daughter's birthday.

Well I've done pretty dismally on my goals for last week :o - they were:

    1) Do new cv in preparation for a possible weekend job starting July Nope - but did ring them to find out more and they aren't taking applications till mid-june so it's not urgent
    2) Write my policies for parents for when I begin childminding Nope, not done this either - just plain lazy!
    3) Try to buy as few groceries as possible - I seem to spend my life in Lidls, Tesco, butchers etc even though I'm trying hard to reduce the food spend. Yes, I came in on budget with my grocery shop so at least I've achieved on out of three.

    Ok, this week:

    1) Do list of experience for new job in preparation (not a full cv needed).
    2) Spend as little as possible all week (payday on Friday)
    3) Tidy the loft bedroom and bathroom properly (it seems to get neglected while I concentrate on the rest of the house).
    4) Bag up winter clothes and store them away in hope of some summer weather sometime soon
    5) Find a way to make extra money somehow this month - going to have at least £100 overspend as things stand as my JSA has finished now - may include a bootsale and seeing if I've got anything I haven't already sold on ebay!

    Must do better this week.........
