BOGOFs @ Kwiksave

Can't see this anywhere else. My local Kwiksave has been reorganised - did not become a Somerfield in recent changeover - all 'simply' and 'own brand' stuff is currently on bogof - eg orange juice = 2 for 44p; spaghetti = 2KG for 48p (I think). Got lots of stuff like pasta, loo rolls, cling film, cat food, juice, squash etc. Not sure how long it's gooing to last.:j

Store near me still has that offer on. I stocked up on tinned food and cleaning products.

Anyone knows of Kwik Saves in London at all? :)

My nearest two became Somerfields a few years ago.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Nearest store to London would appear to be Gravesend! Check out store list: http://www.kwiksave.co.uk/listofstores.htm

I stocked up on some stuff yesterday (as much as I could carry!) but didn't get the discount on 'Kwiksave' cheese. I can't find anything on the promotional leaflet saying it's not included so I'll go back tomorrow and query it.

The store in Yardley/Yew Tree Shopping Centre (Birmingham) had quite a lot of stock today - beans and sos in tins, tinned veg, pickles, soups, pasta, sandwich bags, bleach etc etc. They also had some sweets which still had the multisave (39p a packet or three packets for £1.00 applied) BOGOF at 39p each but if you bought three packets they then took 17p off to make them three for £1.00 - so make sure you buy in multiples of six.

In our local kwiksave the BOGOF sign said the offer EXCLUDED all refrigerated, frozen and alcohol products.

Has anyone else besides me reported KS to Trading Standards re this offer printed in their leaflet??
"Buy one get one free on all Kwik Save own label and Simply range"
Note the "free on all" bit - not so. Doesn't include frozen, chilled or bakery.
No exclusions or disclaimer in T &C small print.

The leaflet was in my local KS 18th May, I picked up on their 'error' straight away. Rang their head office, was given a load of piffle. Ten minutes later they rang back, said 'sorry' a mistake had been made and, as a goodwill gesture 'please go into the store and buy any KS product (incl frozen, chilled etc)as per the leaflet offer - bogof.
(By this time I had contacted Trading Standards.)
Ten minutes later - another call from KS -' can you hang fire with the goodwill gesture, the MD would like to speak to you on Mon'.

Saturday -leaflets removed from display in store

Last Mon came and went - no phone call.

Wednesday - Same leaflets appeared back in store. Rang KS HO again and
was given a load of waffle and 'sorry' again. Rang TS again.

Thursday - Had an hour long conversation with a KS 'person' (absolute idiot- thicko, in a top job) trying to explain to him the trades description act and missleading advertising. Top job and he didn't know. D head. Even asked for my advice (!) re leaflets. Get rid of em or tear the relevent offer page off I said. By Saturday that had been done - thought of some poor sod going through hundreds, cutting off the back page!! And they had posters in store with the exclusions on.
I've only told you half the story, but I can't type as quick as I talk and it's getting late. Still got TS to sort out tomorrow - took em a week to respond to my complaint. More.........

I didn't see a similar notice and it's quite amusing you mention it because I bought 2 bottles of KS Australian wine for the price of one! (This was clearly signposted with a shelf ticket.)

The offer on wine was already on before the latest bogof 'offer'
I bought a total of ten bottles. Oh me 'ead, hic!!

The post above from Don'tskipit is very interesting. I went through the leaflet very carefully and could find no exclusions to the BOGOF offer, a member of staff even reminded me to get 2 boxes of cereal because 'everything own label is on offer'!. I shall definitely go back and complain about the misleading publicity.
