Best Prices from Tesco Insurance

I have just renewed my home and contents insurance with Tesco. Here's a couple of interesting points.
1. If anyone you live with works for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and are named on the policy you get a staff discount (Tesco Personal Finance is part owned by RBS) you just need their employee identification number. Also you get the option of paying over 12 months with 0% intrest. This works on both Motor and Home Insurance but you need to phone them up which brings me to my secand point.
2. There are two ways to buy Insurance from Tesco a) ring the number in the instore leaflets; or b) go on line. If you go on line there is a help line number which is different from the number in the leaflets. When I rang the help line number from the on line service the very helpful lady told me that the best prices Tesco do are to people ringing that number and then proceeded to undercut my on line quote by £40. Again this works with both Motor and Home Insurance.
