Short Break Ideas

Im looking for some short holiday ideas for a break from me and my gf in dec around 8th for 2 - 3 days somewhere or anywhere?
whats good at this time of year? quite fancy a xmas market somewhere, some sights with a nice hotel.

will be flying from aberdeen or poss edinburgh or glasgow.

just stumped for ideas usally take much longer holidays!!

I found a week flight and self catering in Malaga for £54 going out 18th Nov The advantages of working offshore and having lots of time off!

No direct flights ABZ - Germany.

How about Dublin, the only ryanair destination from Aberdeen? OH and I have been in January for the last 2 years and are just about to book for next Jan. There's lots more to do than just the pubs (though they are a big attraction) and there's lots of shopping and culture if you want it. Recommend any of the o'callaghans hotels around st stephens green/merrion square.
