Nero Wave Editor

Hi, Ive just been trying to convert some of my vinyl lps to mp3s, however Im trying to use Nero Wave Editor, but it says it wont let me use this package.

Ive used it in the past with no problems and now it just wont let me use it.

Im running Nero 6 OEM Suite 1.

Are there any freeware alternatives, I know there is DBPower Amp, but I believe it is shareware, I just want to be able to convert my lps thats all as Nero lets me do everything else that I want.

Any suggestions please?

you just after an audio converter? (sorry, late at night )

if so cheetah audio converter is superb, and free

(I'd use that link though, as I'm fairly sure they pulled the free one recently)

No, sorry not a converter, just a program that will record off lp's to the pc.

Mmm have you got the Nero updates http://www.nero.com/nero6/en/nero-up.php no need to install the yahoo toolbar.

Also try http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ this works very well and to save as MP3 get the lame file http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&item=lame-mp3

Thanks for the audacity suggestion,after a bit of tinkering around it gives some good results, to my untrained ear anyway.

Im just in the process of updating Nero, maybe I will get back wave editor who knows?
