Credit Expert/Experion - help getting a refund

Hello,

I opened a 'free 30 day trial' account at Credit Expert to check my credit rating.

Within 7 days, I called to close the account. However, I am now being charged £6.99 per month for the account.

Looking at Ciao reviews, other Credit Expert users have had similar experiences. Is there any way I can get a refund for the money they have taken from me, and make sure they close down my account for good?

Many thanks,

David

Sounds simplistic, but I'd just call them. I signed up with them a couple of years back, got my free credit report and cancelled. Never had any problems.

If you've cancelled in accordance with their T&C's, you will be able to claim the money back off them.

I called them to cancel the account last time. I spoke to one of their telephone operatives for a few minutes whilst he took the details needed to close down my account.

Well call them again - this time make a point of noting the individual's name you speak to (if you didn't last time). Refer them to the previous phone call (they may have the details on a log in front of them), or refer them to their call archive if they record conversations and ask him / her to explain whats gone wrong and what they are going to do to rectify it.

If that fails, write to them.
