Looking to transfer a current credit card balance to a 0% card and will be spending £6k in the next few months on a Credit card.
Is it worth asking my current credit card if they will offer me 0%? Then i won't cancel their credit card and will spend on it

Are you sure you want to be spending on top of a 0% balance transfer??
Tread carefully; in most cases any payments you make would come of the 0% balance and not your purchases; so you would be paying interest on your purchases until the £6000 was paid off...
Be careful!
It sounds like your best bet would be to get a new 0% card (don't forget the fees though); and then carry on spending on your current one.0 -
Good point.
Although purchases are normally 0% too.0 -
I have tried asking for 0% with a number of cards and they all appear to less likely to agree a 0% these days ..... they tend to say they have periodic offers and i will have to wait for them to come around .... so as a result of this i have closed a number of card accounts and wait until a new card offer comes up .... only thing to remember is that the cards you have closed wont allow you to re apply for different periods of time ... normally 6 months but some 1 year !!0

There is a 50/50 chance. They will say yes or no
