Quick question about car tax

This may be a silly question, but can I tax my car with a week left on the MOT? I've been getting work done and can't get a retest done until the end of next week. Also is it ok if the is only a month left on the insurance?

if the mot is valid on the day the tax starts youll be ok

ie tax due 31st oct (new disc starts 1 nov mot expires 1 nov )

The MOT and insurance have to be current on the day the tax disk renews.
My insurance expired 26th October, tax disk 31st. Touch and go if the new insurance certificate was going to arrive in the post in time. Got it today so OK. I've gone for 6 months tax this time to give myself more than just a couple of days window to buy a tax disk in future :rolleyes:
