Advance Account with payment protection

Hi not sure if this is the right place to post.. my sister who has just been made redundant, is going through her finance etc, to make some changes, and where she can cut costs... ( i'm trying to help her through this site)

however 3 years ago, she had a barclays advance account, with payment protection, this was paid off in full after 18 months, however all of a suddden she is getting statements showing that she has not paid £2.90 insurance..

I told her to get in touch with the bank, which she did but they did not want to know...

Is there any form of template letter that she can send in order to get this sorted, has she has not used it for at least 18 months, with statements coming through at 0.00, and now with charges showing...

Please advise

thanking you

    Hi there.

Maybe for £10 cheque or postal order, your sister could request for a Subject access Request (SAR) where they should send everything they still hold on her account, normally going back to 5/6 years.
They have 40 days to comply, and its best to post by recorded delivery as well, for her proof of posting.
Template letter for SAR on link here:

If mis sold find out more info on the link below, which has guidelines of reclaiming and templates letters etc.

If you require further help, please just yell....:D

    Good luck.;)
