Andorra in summer

wondered if anyone has been to Andorra in the summer and what they thought of it. Is it good for walking?

If it's good for skiing, I assume it would be good for mountain walking. Have never been, but I know that most ski resorts operate as dual season so summer is the second peak time.

Yes, it is very good for walking. It's less developed than the Alps. There's only one refuge where you can stay overnight, and you generally need to take your food and drink with you rather than finding somewhere en route when walking. It's better for the enegetic as most routes have some steep and rough patches. The villages are not pretty like Austria, but there are great views and the eagles are dramatic. Inghams accommodation only deals used to be incredibly cheap (£90 for a week half-board). They've gone up, but it's still good value.

I live in the south of France, 2-3 hours drive from Andorra and can recommend it for a summer visit. Although I haven't done any serious walking there it is obvious there are many marked trails. And duty free shopping. And Caldea spa which is a must - we had a great day there and a lovely meal too for buttons

And if you have a car the villages in the Pyrenees are lovely too, lots to see and not too touristy
