Camera faulty

Hi, i bought a camera about 5 months ago, went to use it today and it wont accept the memory card, just bounces back out. I am going to take it back to the store this evening and see what can be done, can i get a refund or just have it repaired? my friend bought the same camera at the same time and has had nothing but problems with it.

Thanks

It's up to the retailer but the likelihood is that it'll be going out for repair.

As it's under 6 months, then the retailer has to prove it wasn't faulty. They'll probably give you a replacement.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I'd doubt that very much, they'll be sending it out for repair under the manufacturers warranty.

It depends on the retailer. DSGi companies (PC World, Currys etc) have a lot of "code 5" products, i.e. o repair just refund or replace. This is usually on items under £100. On other items they may try to repair (which they are entitled to do), the only option here is to talk the manager into giving a refund/replacement instead on the basis that it is not acceptable to be without the product after only 5 months.

The other issue of course is it might be that the memory card is at fault, which is a fairly regular occurence (I used to do tech support), so rather than making a scene when you go in perhaps wait for them to test it!

    It also may

Sounds like a faulty spring inside the SD card slot. Should be an easy fix for those in the know.
