Ovo

Anyone know more details about Ovo? Their address is in Gloucester which is about all their website shows. I asked them for more details - Directors, where they get their supplies from, do they have foreign backers etc., but they are not very forthcoming. Said they have less overheads resulting in cheaper prices and that they use (amongst others) wind farms. they couldn't divulge more 'confidential' information, but I thought a 'Barn' address in Gloucester was a bit vague.

The company has been mentioned on here recently.

According to companies house, they are a new private limited company.
If you look on google maps, you'll see they are not in Gloucester, but on the Tetbury Road just outside Cirencester - basically in the middle of the Cotswolds.
Their website invites you to visit them there if you wish.
Don't be frightened, there's only about 10 employees there, perhaps less.

Their website also identifies where they buy their energy from - primarily off the National Grid, although they do offer a green energy option from renewable sources.

I've also found out (one of) the director's details, but I'm not sure it would be appropriate to publish this. Why would this be important anyway?

Thanks Premier. Had a look at the chat. varied opinion, but I like Old Henry's comment! Re directors - you need to know who to sue! Think I'll watch and wait a while.

If you want to sue anyone, you sue the company. Like any limited company, it is its own legal entity. That's the whole point of limited liability.

Directors are simply employees of the company empowered/made responsible by the owners, i.e. the shareholders, to manage the running of the company.
