Halifax One: Dual Personality Credit Cards!

My current CCard is a Halifax One VISA, however, there is also a Halifax One MASTERCARD.

Question is: could I succesfully apply for the latter even though I already hold the former (for the purpose of making a balance transfer).

Responses appreciated!

Barclaycard allows having both Visa and Mastercard. I guess Halifax allows too. However, I am quite sure you cannot transfer a balance from Halifax Visa to Halifax Mastercard.

    Nah I doubt it.

Check the small print on your current card for BT's.

Usually say something along the lines of "You cannot BT to another Halifax card or HBOS administered card"

You would be able to transfer the balances but you almost certainly wont get any promotional rates applied to it

I don't think you can, Halifax One Visa is no longer available to new customers. So new customers have to apply for a Mastercard.
