so i guessed the price will go back to US$120 during the 2nd year? and who will "owns" the domain? is there any "transfer fees" if i want to move the domain to another hosting company after one year?0

Yes, as i understand it the price will go up in the second year, I'm planning on staying on tho as the features in the package (even the basic one) cost quite a lot elsewhere.
Hopefully a couple of referrals will help with year 2

They seem quite good at things like you actually owning the domain, see
this from their FAQ for example.
From what I can see it's also quite easy to transfer a domain away, expired or not.
