As the troll has gone back under its bridge:T , we should be proud of what may have been achieved. Somewhere there are students in that same position who really can't bring themselves to talk about it to anyone.
If they have followed this thread, they will have been feeling encouraged and understood and will have benefitted from the sterling advice and support that was given by posters.:A
So, to the posters - BRAVO!:T

And to the troll, well, I bet you must be spitting teeth because you may have actually caused someone to be helped!:p
A cautionary note to our troll - what goes around comes around and I feel sorry for you because one day, you really might need help and we all know what happened to the boy who cried wolf...

  • !!!!!!. He described basically my situation at uni, add to that my mother is almost housebound, although thankfully Ive never suffered depression.

And i had decency to reply and offer advice (my original post was a reply without reading rest of the thread).

Hope you soon live on the street and stop me asking for "any spare change". ****

Good for you! Don't let the troll do this to you. You should feel great for trying to help especially as you're in a similar position.
Trolls feed off rage - maybe we should look at it from the angle that even tho the trolls have posted, our answers may have helped someone else. It's very rare for someone to be in a position that no-one else is in. Posters jump in all the time - like you and I- with 'I can understand what you're going thru'/ 'I've been in that situation.'
Let's not give the trolls power - let's be glad they've given us another opportunity to share our expertise. Besides, Karma is a wonderful thing!:D
