No its a medion that are regulars to the techy forum, also what is the point of a low voltage CPU at 1.2Ghz and then add a 512MB Graphics card? Thats like putting alloys and go faster stripes on a lada. Games that want a graphics card such as that needs a 2GHz processor minimum and thats on the lower end.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

Im quite shocked theyre selling such a slow processor at that price!:idea:0

Well it is dual core but I agree its a bit on the slow side.
I don't think the point of a machine like this is games, its for grown-upsto do work on the move so is ultra thin, light and they are claiming a battery life of 4 to 8 hours which is brilliant.
My Fujitsu can barely manage 50 minutes these days, I am trying to get it some Viagra!0 -
its not so bad but would only be an option if it were prices around 250-300 quidTarget Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -

My bad, never realised it was dual core:idea:0 -
One thing they never mention with Aldi puters...the guarantee is great.
A mate of mine has a lappie from there but not this one...he's really happy with it.
I have several Medion preipherals and would love another external writer...that one isn't as good as mine and more expansive which is odd.
The RAM and card are for video processing I think more than gaming. I have a gaming lappie and you wouldn't want it's battery life of 1 to 2 hours.
That machine will probably manage CE2 though, not at top settings but well enough.
DirectX10 is almost out of date now 11 is around too.
If I needed a lappie right now I'd buy this for sure. The battery life is brilliant and the other specs aren't bad at all for 500 quid.

And not having an optical drive included in a £500 laptop is bizarre, to say the least!0 -
Medion won PCPro's 'best customer service' award in 2008.
They make laptops branded for most of the laptop sellers (the secret is that the model number always remains the same regardless). You could probably pick-up an Advent or Emachines version much cheaper.Never Knowingly Understood.
