IP address change to a UK address to use BBC Iplayr

But isn't that what the iplayer is doing?
Sort of... iPlayer is using a directory service to see in which country the IP address is registered, and then blocking the connection if it isn't UK based.
But... since the Internet is global, all you have to do is get the data from iPlayer using a UK registered IP address then resend them wherever you want.
What I meant was that if it's on the web, it's not difficult (given time, effort and technical knowledge, and so on) to get hold of data intended for a particular country.0
