I have just purchased a 19"Suyama TFT Monitor from Ebuyer.
I can not find where to get update drivers or set up instructions from (details sent with it not very clear).
Monitor at present set up as a standard plug and play monitor.
Can anyone help please.

what's wrong with that?
are you having problems with it?"If you really want to hurt your parents and you don't have nerve enough to be homosexual, the least you can do is go into the arts."0 -
It'll run better if the OS is using the correct drivers.
Can't see anything on google for Suyama.
May be worth looking at the model number on the back and putting that into google. If not, ebuyer support will have to point you towards drivers.Tight fisted accountant since birth.0 -
Drivers for my TFT do nothing but make it into a Hyundai Q70U instead of plug and play monitor.
Goto the manufactorer website and look under support or downloads, download the correct file for your monitor.
Open device mgr, expand the monitor tree and double click your plug and play monitor and click update driver, select install from specific location and point it to the file you have just downloaded.

some of the printing on the screen is slightly bolder than other parts0

That sounds like you're running the screen at a lower resolution that it's designed for.
17" TFT screens are manufactured now to 1280x1024 so if you're running at anything less than that you're going to see some odd results because you'll be trying to fit say an 800x600 grid into a 1280x1024 grid and it doesn't fit exactly. In some cases 1 pixel of the 800 grid will fit 1 pixel of the 1280 grid then the next will need to use 2 pixels.Tight fisted accountant since birth.0 -
1280 X 1024 it is set at.0

If its a 19" widescreen monitor it should be run at 1440 x 900.
You will also need to make sure your graphics adaptor will support the screens correct resolution.:: No Links in signatures please - Edited by Forum Manager ::0 -

I've just purchased a Suyama 17" TFT Monitor from the same place as aardvaak. When my monitor arrived it was as simple as plug it in and alter the screen resolution to the monitor's native resolution, which for my 17" is 1280 x 1024.
From what I understand, drivers for a monitor don't actually do anything apart from change the name it displays under in control panel. It would be the graphics card drivers you might need to update to support a higher resolution, native to the monitor. If you don't use the native resolution, then you do get lines, bold patches etc. appear.
Also, enable cleartype (if using Windows XP) and set the refresh rate to the highest one the monitor can support.
Hope this helps0
