Just nipped in to update my sig, and to say I hope to have a whole week of NSD's as there is only a tenner left until Sunday! I have 2 sick at home (the smalls, 5 & 3, who are very miserable) and no doubt will have to coax them to eat, so I may need that for special treats. Also the smallest small will have a birthday this week and I'm not sure if I got everything on her party food request list. Of course, if she's not eating, it will be a cheap day!
Feel better this month as I have actually managed to stay within (so far) the figure I set. Will have to see what happens in December, we have outlaws coming to stay  however, at least one meal will be taken when they are here that I don't have to cook for! Keep smiling everyone!:jMoney saving eco friendly Fertility reflexology specialist :j0 -
Aaaaaand over we go. £25 in Sainsbury today on bits and bobs as we were having friends over for lunch and needed more potatoes, fruit for pudding and some wine.
However, it has been our first ever GC and the current total does include £23 on a takeaway and loads of nappies. I have learnt so much from doing this and obviously am going to try to limit the damage for the rest of the month.
Had a much more OS evening - HM butternut squash soup with HM rolls and twinks hobnobs for afters!
Hope everyone had a good weekend despite the weather.

so of all things today turned into a NS day - as rather than entertaining family and buying a cake, we went out and split the bill 50-50 which I paid my half with Mr T vouchers so I don't count that. also my OH made a lovely white chocolate and cranberry muffin cake instead of shop bought- so hurrah, means we might get through the Month (until Friday 27th) on budgetI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

I've spent £224.52 so far this month.. I should come under budget! Don't know ho9w I spent quite so much in October!
A question though. I do my weekly shop on a Monday. Next Mon (30th) I will do my shop from the week ahead, which will be Dec. So that day will that shopping be part of Dec or Nov challenge?
TY!

I run my budgets on a calendar month basis, so anything bought before 1st December will be from my November budget - even if it's specifically for December (have already spent a fair bit that way), and even if it means I go over (which I'm likely to this month)Cheryl0 -
It's a personal choice.

I was going to put it as part of Nov as it was spent in Nov, just wanted to check, lol!

Hi Longtallsally!
I haven't posted for ages as I haven't been spending:) I spent £72 in Mr A but £15 of that was advance C'mas spending, crackers etc. which comes out of a different account/budget. So my spend was actually £57. I have then spend 2 x £5 on fresh veg and everything else is out of the freezer or garden this month. We topped up the meat this month at a cost of £40.
Payday is tomorrow so I have spent £202 and my final total is -£2business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I'm really struggling with everything at the mo, got a serious case of the blues I do fear!! Weather doesn't help either.
I'm reasonable under budget at the mo and with finances being really tight I can't afford to splurge(
I'm in a Bah Humbug mood......... sorry guys
Sending you a hug. The weather here is frightful too, and I have two sick kids lounging around coughing at me. I have struggled with serious depression for years, and can fully understand your 'bah humbug' mood - I have them too. Like others here have said, take a little time for yourself, ignore all the rubbish 'jobs' that need doing and if you do see that sun - go outside for 5 minutes and let the wind blow you around a bit. Hope you feel better soon xxxxx
