Can you do more than 1 BT ?

Hi

Just want to know if you can do more than 1 balance transfer to a bank account from a card at diffeerent times but within the same promo period.

I bt'd a small amount earlier in the year to my bank account from my virgin card and used the 0% until jone 2010 offer. Is it ok to do another tansfer? The offer ends 19th nov 2009. Will I still get the 0% until june 2009 on both transfers?

Thanks in advance.

Provided you are sure that your 0% offer definitely runs until 19th November, then I think you will be fine to complete a second Balance Transfer at the promotional rate.

I have done this many times in the past.

You need to ensure you remain within the Balance Transfer limit (usually 95% of your Credit Limit) and I would request it over the phone so that you can confirm that the new Balance Transfer will definitely attract the 0% promotional rate.

When on the phone its always worth asking if they will waive any Balance Transfer fee involved.

    Good Luck.

Hi, Yes the promo definately does say until 19th nov 2009, just double checked......
its in the 'my promotions' tab on my account.
I was just going to do the transfer from my account page but maybe should give them a ring to make sure i'll get the 0% as you've suggested.

    Thanks for your help.

Agree with above. If not doing over the phone, then double check your current credit limit as well as allowing for the 95% thing, just in case they've reduced it for some reason and you didn't know.

With MBNA I like to do it online, saving screen images as I go along. That way I feel I've got a better record of the transaction and a reduced chance of communication error.
