Dell Axim X51 will be good. But have you considered using a smart phone? The Sony Ericsson P910i (now SE P990i) is excellent with tomtom mobile 5 which has the same GUI as all the other tomtom products. Just a thought and works out much cheaper if you are on a mobile phone contract. Only a few phones have the integral GPS though as most use a bluetooth GPS receiver. I'm delighted with mine for what its worth.

i have a mio 168 and tomtom 5, for the price ( £250) for the unit with some navigation software and then tomtom 5 it was well worth it.

my friend has tomtom on his nokia phone, it is ok however his phone battery doesnt last very long at all.

the mio is quite old now, im sure you could get a better unit however i use mine most days and have not had a problem.

    try
