    1. Went to see a beautiful ballet yesterday with my beloved DD :)

    2. Sat outside in a lovely courtyard to eat pizza and scrumptious gelato at my new favourite restaurant, I had blueberry and passionfruit cheesecake flavours :):) stuff the diet!!

    3. Singing along to silly songs with DD at the top of our heads on the way.

    4. On the way back, DD set G**gle maps to bicycle rather than car and we had an 'interesting' couple of miles :):):) I queried why the journey was going to take over an hour and a half, and got the huffy reply "Well it looks like a car to me!!". I took the phone, saw there was a bike icon, burst out laughing and reminded her of the time she mistook horses for cows.....

    5. Went to the library and took out some amazing books, one of which I had to stay up til stupid o'clock* to finish.

*I say I had to stay up, in reality some selfish beggars either this or the other side of the river, were having a massive party with music blaring, that probably kept half the village awake, til 1:25am precisely :(

Hi Mila, we have a Bernease Mountain dog called Rosie. A normal sunny day in the U.K. Is too much for her, so how Ellington is coping in dessert temperatures, I can't imagine!

    Friday
    1. Beautiful day. Watching DS2 in his competition, was too hot! No shade, and I got a bit burn't in the bits the sun cream missed! :o
    2. DS2 team did really well. They all enjoyed it and didn't come last!
    3. Lovely to have DS2 back home. Very proud of him.
    4. Snoozing in the car. Not had a lot of sleep this week. Fretting about work. So caught up a bit while DH drove. :A
    5. Day off work!

    Saturday
    1. A few errands in town, then Frappe Creme at Caffe Nero, free with loyalty cards.:j
    2. HM minestrone soup from Jamie Olivers 15 minute meals, which always take me 45 minutes :rotfl:
    3. BBQ which made some space in the freezer and DH did the cooking.:j Pico de Gaio was popular. I am on a 1 woman mission to introduce it to all my friends!
    4. Sitting outside to eat with friends.
    5. Clearing up, then sitting outside in the dark with a fire in the fire pit and a nice cup of tea.

Hoping to beat back more of the garden today. Will report back later!

    A few pleasures for Sunday.

DD1 bought choccy digestives for $1 ...usually about $5

Washing dried on line, was a good breeze.

DD2 allowing me to hug her, she's not a huggy person but is a little heartbroken as her pig of a boyfriend dumped her...though to be honest was before she dumped him! She misses her dad so badly, has huge exams coming up and just everything is happening now!

    I snoozed after all this!

Should be ironing, should be packing, should be tidying!

There's jonquils in the front garden.

No steak pie for our tea....that would be the dogs breakfast. Had just poured meat out of slow cooker into pie dish and left room for a few minutes and came back and about 3/4 was gone. He was delighted with himself but was sent to bed to think about what he'd done!
However he will get the rest over the next few nights as too much to chuck and to much had been slobbered over to keep! Bad dog!

Not sure what Internet will be like so shall post when I can
  • Morning playmates! another hot and sunny day here in Hampshire and we've been to the boot fair and come home again as the temperature was over 30 degrees by 9.30 am and getting warmer by the minute!

    1) Very successful boot fair with many bargains found.

    2) I don't have to cook today in the heat meals are already cooked and ready to go, crustless quiche and salad for lunch and chickpea curry with rice for this evening.

    3) I've got no jobs to do today, even got the ironing done yesterday as it came in off the drying line so a nice easy, lazy day which will be lovely.

    4) Had a little sort through some things that DD2 had put out for our next boot fair foray from what she still had here for sentimental reasons and found the bridesmaids dress she wore when she was 6! it's much too good to go to a boot fair and luckily DD1 has a colleague with a 5 year old daughter who is tall for her age so it will be offered to her, even for dressing up it's pretty!

    5) I've cleared more of the surplus into boxes and can see the store room floor again, the 'keep it for an emergency' and 'it's too good to throw away' piles are diminishing and I've the beginnings of clear shelves in there, thank goodness!!!
  • 5 In via side door at MSE. Seems normal browser is carp. But you cans not keep BoP out. Shhh though, BoPsie not inn!

4 Just had poached haddock, North Atlantic, served with minted tested, peas, and hot homemade parsley sauce. Parsley sauce was tad hot. Tum was rubbed!

3 Just watched cricket. Good show!

2 Night BoP is out and about. More later.

    Beaten by a good head!

    Terrific weekend.
    1) Yesterday hot and sunny. Dd2 and I did some serious pruning then lunch in the garden, bit more gardening, walked the dogs,
    2) then off to friend's with gbf for an evening of board games and curry.
    3) today church where great progress is being made on Sunday school room, then home for lunch of leftovers
    4) light drizzle so dd2 and I had a bonfire. I only have a small fire pit so we kept it quite contained.
    5) 30 min fast walk with the boys (mine 2 and mr piano's) then sitting reading the year or living danishly while mr piano practises rach 3. I can play right hand of top of page 15 :-)

    1. Sunshine!

    2. DD and I went paddling at Oxfordshire's finest beach :) (just over the bridge in the town we want to live in there is a teensy tiny patch on the Thames :) )

    3. Went to see the donkeys at the sanctuary and saw a foal, soooo gorgeous!

    4. Helped DD finish her packing for her first trip abroad without me *sniff*

    5. Enjoyed lovely rose wine :)

    6. Think I'm ready for my new class, it's transition morning tomorrow!!!

Kittikins - we've got a little beach on the Teme. It's where we go swimming sometimes.

Pleasures for today (a long day).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Up fairly early and bigger son fed the hens while I got everything ready...

    3) Somerset by lunchtime and collected the 2 newel posts and stairs spindles we won on Ebay. I'm not entirely convinced they are Victorian but they are neat and tidy and will do the job.

    4) Tyntesfield next - to much moaning (this the mood of the day). Was 29 degrees again by then (I am so sick of the heat now) so we got no further than the tea room/cow shed.

    5) Off to Sand Bay. The coast there is always such a disappointment (sorry, people of Somerset!) So muddy and dull after Wales. Still, we found one cuttle fish and some pieces of sea glass. The sea was too far out to walk to,

    6) Back through the BoP lands. Had driven down through Tewks/Gloucs etc. Was quite funny driving through Tewksbury as there was some sort of medieval thing about to take place and people were 5-6 deep on both sides of the road. We felt like royalty driving through! Anyway, took hours that way so drove back Hartpury/Ledbury/Bishops Frome which I preferred.

& re the gallops just look for a slightly harassed looking woman vainly chasing a chocolate spaniel!
House elf my old dog is called Rosie, all the best dogs :)

    Some weekend pleasures,

Garden in bloom and flowers covered in bees & butterflies.

We finally got round to watching Sully, am a big fan of the lovely Mr Hanks and the film didn't disappoint.

Made a Paella and enjoyed a glass of something cold with it.

Late night wander round the garden, beautiful full moon and the Little Owl was calling from one of the beech trees, love my home.

Lazy day yesterday, reading new book lent by DB ( Nocturnal Animals  ) with test match on in background.

Next episode of the Loch, body count is hitting Midsummer levels!
  • I’s inn the side door of the parish. Seems the softies at MSE tower block IE and Safari ip addresses. Well softies are like that. All they want to do is play games and if a system is working, they downgrade it so it no longer works. Unlucky for yous lot, I can get in without the agro of your ip address has been singled out for exclusion. And theys ant note that the softies can do about it! Softies, joining Human Remains, Social Workers ,and Educationalists on BoP’s list of nonesensesness! Just imagine the room with a 40W light, three chairs, two desks and throwing them in there. Wander who does not get the chair? The desks are superfluous to their needs!

Ah Tewkesbury. Theys mad ups norff there! Had some medieval festival or something. Mes and BoPsie nearly bought house there. It was very nice, but looking from road nearby, it must had been a good six foot lower than the main road. We did not and a few years later they got flooded.!

5 With all that, back at the mill, but only for a short week this time as BoP is offski on Friday and heading towards the Steels Town! Proper food, Prawn in filo pastry, fresh not frozen like the emporium, Large Haddock and Chips, Jelly and Ice cream! Thens off to Skeggie, Lincoln. Wobbleades will be taken!

4 Any way at Mill, my lunch box today has the required amount of cakes of Jaffa! Cheese and all good things that make BoP superb in everything I do. Theres is no question on that either! Mind you, someone has been to a rip off emporium and spent £2.59 on a twin pack of Jaffa cakes! Yesterday inn w8rs, BoP got his for far less! Please avoid places that rip you off!

3 And beings not at the mill, that does not serve coffee, on Friday, means that BoP will be on the Train of Big to Warster this Thursday. Outs for nish and a wobbleade! More later!

2 Watched the cricket yesterday and a couple of years back |I thought Moeem was not the finished article. He came good!

If you looked in the mirror this morning, you saw your most important competitor. Keep aside of them!
