in Credit cards
Hey Peeps,
First time user here.
After using some adult entertainment i called a number from a T.V channel on an adult line. They suggested that it was £1.99 a minute, hung up the phone on me after about two minutes.
Stupidly i have given my credit card details over the phone and they have billed me £45.00!!!
I have blocked my credit card, advised if the transaction clears on i will dispute it but may end up paying it.
My only concern is the repercussions if they have my details would they be able to set a recurring payment without my authority??
I haven't tried contacting the merchant yet but from what i read they are complete scam artists and i am really panicking now about receiving future bills. If i don't pay them will it effect my credit history?
Any advise you have for a really worried person would be great.
Thanks

This is very common, which provider was it?These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -

Most importantly, was 2 minutes long enough to get your rocks off?0 -

That is an important question however being money saving experts that we are, we should be asking... was it worth it for £3.98? :rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature.
