Bit of help please!!
I have an acer aspire 5620z sat in front of me that belongs to a friend of mine, it attempts to boot up but just comes up with a black screen with the cursor visble.
It does the same when trying to boot into safe mode.
They are not bothered about anything that is on it and want me to restore to factory settings however it didnt come with any restore discs.
Is it ok to download something like this http://www.user-guides.co.uk/cddownload/Acer/AcerAspire/Acer-Aspire-5610Z-Vista-Driver-Recovery-CD-Restore-Disk-155678.html and burn it onto cd and do it that way??
Is there anything that i need to look out for whilst doing it?
This is the first time i have ever done a restore on a vista  so not to sure what to expect
TIA

Pressing Alt + F10 as soon as you switch it on (at the Acer screen) will take you into Acer recovery where you will get the option to restore to factory settings.0
